Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate

Join the Amazon warehouse team responsible for preparing orders for customers who rely on Amazon services. This fast-paced, physical role spans various areas including merchandise, make-on-demand, customer returns, Prime Now, and general fulfillment. You will select, pack, and ship orders — sometimes for Amazon’s super-fast delivery service (2 hours or less).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inventory

• Prepare and pack customer orders

• Load boxes onto trucks for shipment

• Use scanners to read product barcodes

• Follow screen prompts and instructions

• Troubleshoot operational issues

• Ensure product quality standards are met

• Operate power industrial trucks (forklift, pallet driver) and work at heights up to 40 feet (training and certification provided)

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 49 pounds

• Push utility carts up to 60 pounds

• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout shifts

• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment

• Navigate stairs (where applicable)

• Work safely at heights up to 40 feet on mezzanines (where applicable)

• Follow strict safety, quality, and production standards

• Safety: Protective gear provided; daily safety tips shared

• Surroundings: Work around moving machinery like order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, and carts

• Activity: Periods of standing, walking, and stair climbing

• Temperature: Warehouse temperatures vary (60°F to 90°F+ in some areas)

• Noise: Can be loud; hearing protection available if needed

• Dress Code: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes required; safety footwear provided in select units; Amazon offers a $110 Zappos gift code for shoes
